A NEW ENTRANCE TO PARADISE COMING SUMMER 2024
The Riviera Nayarit International Airport (TPQ) will connect multiple Mexican cities and expects to receive dozens of flights from other countries eager to discover and enjoy one of Mexico’s best beach destinations.
By the summer of 2024, TPQ will be completely upgraded and able to support a passenger capacity of 2.7 million. The expansion will include a new runway, apron, terminals, lounges, and amenities like shops, restaurants, and restrooms. The new modern facilities will create a positive and relaxing atmosphere for passengers.
The needs of the planet and the care for our environment are very important. In addition to other sustainability initiatives, TPQ will be the first air terminal in the world to have a total rainwater harvesting strategy to transform rain into treated and potable water.

Riviera Nayarit is a coastal region that stretches for about 192 miles along the Pacific Coast. The region is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, lush tropical vegetation, and rich cultural heritage.

Not only will Riviera Nayarit International Airport (TPQ) be completely remodeled, but also the entire road infrastructure of the destination will be inaugurated. This will connect multiple Mexican cities and reduce travel time between them significantly.

To support the continued growth and increased demand, roads have been modernized and Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM) is being upgraded with a guaranteed focus on safety, functionality, reliability, environmental protection, profitability, comfort, and quality of service for passengers, complying with applicable regulations.
The new terminal and facilities design will support up to 3 million passengers and represent an identity infrastructure in line with the characteristics of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The 3 to 5-year project will include a new apron and passenger terminal as well as a new control tower.
A Tourist Destination on the Rise
Puerto Escondido is the most populated city on the Oaxacan coast and one of the main tourist destinations in the state. Tourists flock here from Mexico, Canada, and the United States to enjoy its beautiful beaches, world-class surfing, and laid-back atmosphere.
The main beach in Puerto Escondido is called Zicatela Beach, which is known for its big waves and is considered one of the best surfing spots in the world. Other beaches in the area include Playa Principal, Carrizalillo Beach, and Playa Manzanillo. These beaches offer a range of activities such as swimming, fishing, snorkeling, some waves, or exploring the local culture.
